The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted @caffeinated reviewer. It's a chance to share what we've been doing over the past week and showcase books and things we have received.
It was a shock to my system when I woke up this morning to see there was snow on the ground! I thought mother nature is joking right? It has been snowing all day! I love snow but not in September! …try to remember the kind of September when grass was green and
grain leaves were yellow.
I tried the It Frappuccino from Starbucks yesterday, to celebrate the release of IT Chapter 2! I really liked it. If you want to order the IT Frappuccino the barista likely won’t know what that is, so you have to order a ‘Vanilla Bean Frappuccino with strawberry purée on top’.
Today I went to see It: Chapter 2 in the theatre and I enjoyed it. I think I am growing a thicker skin towards “horror” movies. Although some of it may disturb me It wasn’t bad at all. I actually found I could laugh at parts of it. Did you know Stephen King himself has a cameo? He appears as a pawnshop grumpy old shopkeeper who sells Bill his rusty childhood bicycle. He was good and I was surprised at how many lines he had and longer time in front of the camera than let’s say J.K Rowling had in Harry Potter. It made me chuckle.
I am holding a read-a-long for It in October so I thought seeing the movie would add to the experience to get inspired and motivated. Who is with me? Who else has seen It: Chapter 2 already? I encourage you to watch It wherever it may be.
