Hearing aids, prescription lenses and pain therapy are making me feel old.
I went for an eye exam on Wednesday and I’m getting a new pair of prescription lenses! I am nearsighted. I can see up close but not far. On another note, I am officially qualified for hearing aids! Lol@me. It makes me
feel old but, it’s better I get them now before something happens. I mean I know my right ear is a little less optimal and I am glad my insurance will cover it. I’m just so thrilled about it all *sarcasm
Actually, the test was super cool. Have you ever encountered a person that made you feel so warm and fuzzy inside just by listening to their voice? The overwhelming feeling that can make you fall asleep because of their soft-toned manner of speaking? That if they stopped talking you would be sad? Well, my ear doctor, who is female btw, is one of those people who does that to me. I could listen to her talk all my life. seriously. I love the way she makes me feel. It is magnetic and arresting. It completely and utterly entrances me when she speaks. I don’t know how it happens or what it is about, but MAN! It is a humble experience, that’s all.
Also, I had to order another pain therapy device from Dr. Ho’s because I was worried the one I had was going to stop working. I’ve been using it for hours in a day for my back pain. I would be lost without it because Tylenol 3’s for pain is not the best way to go. So I ordered another one and they sent the wrong one! O my gerd!
The makeup community is speaking out against Jaclyn Hill asking her to recall her lipstick product because of poor quality and hairy, mouldy gross lipsticks. People are really upset and can not believe what they paid for! There is A PETITION going around for Jaclyn Hill Cosmetics to RECALL all of her lipstick products. So far, she hasn’t; but it has forced Jaclyn to give everyone their money back if they are unsatisfied with it in any way. Well, good.
In book news, I can’t say that I’ve finished or started a book this week. Oh, I have opened several books but they just haven’t been able to draw my attention to want to keep reading. I don’t blame it entirely on the book. I have other things on my mind *shrugs. I tried reading My Plain Jane, Better Homes and Haunting by Molly Harper, and one that I really want to read is Soul of the Sword by Julie Kagawa. I did start this one but I decided I will wait for the audiobook.
P.S: Update: I forgot to tell you that I watched John Wick on Netflix. I am obsessed with Keanu Reeves. He should be very very afraid of people obsessing over him like that. I mean I decided to watch every *damn* movie he ever made. At least the ones I could watch for free. BUT, John Wick?! Oh, boy. He’s so cool. I highly recommend John Wick. Also, chapter 3 with Halle Berry, is highly rated and has even more action and dogs.
John Wick is a trained assassin who lost his wife to cancer and hasn’t been able to grieve properly. Because some Russian thug, played by Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy), stole his car and kills his dog. This forces him to uncover his stash of weapons he has buried underneath his house. Nobody messes with John Wick and gets away with it. Ahh, he embarks on a killing adventure and puts his martial arts training and Tai Chi to the test. He’s incredible and it is the best action adventure thriller I’ve seen in a long time OR maybe it’s just me head over heels in love with Keanu. Just FYI. “we are the same age” *coughs
