This is a weekly meme created by Books by Proxy, but kept up by Lynn’s Book Blog.

This is an excellent opportunity to feature some of your favourite book covers. The rules are relatively simple, each week, following a predetermined list, choose a book, compare a couple of the different covers available for that particular book and choose your favourite.

This weeks theme

7th September – ‘Mirror, Mirror on the wall – A cover featuring a queen

Since I finished Kill The Queen by Jennifer Estep, I thought it would be a perfect choice but as it hasn’t released yet it also only has one cover. So nix that.
Deciding which epic fantasy to choose this week was hard.

And my favourite Queen is. . . the edition I have by Bloomsbury Publishing 10 Sep 2015. Which is your favourite?

Queen of Shadows (Throne of Glass #4) by Sarah, J. Maas

The queen has returned.
Everyone Celaena Sardothien loves has been taken from her. But she’s at last returned to the empire—for vengeance, to rescue her once-glorious kingdom, and to confront the shadows of her past…

She has embraced her identity as Aelin Galathynius, Queen of Terrasen. But before she can reclaim her throne, she must fight.

She will fight for her cousin, a warrior prepared to die for her. She will fight for her friend, a young man trapped in an unspeakable prison. And she will fight for her people, enslaved to a brutal king and awaiting their lost queen’s triumphant return.

The fourth volume in the New York Times bestselling series continues Celaena’s epic journey and builds to a passionate, agonizing crescendo that might just shatter her world.

I like your choice – in fact all those covers with the slight differences are lovely – I like the one with the purple too. Not a series I’ve read but obviously very popular so I have it on my wishlist – who knows, time allowing, one day…

Hello, the bloomsbury publishing one is the UK version. I had never seen the other ones and I hope you get around to reading this series. It’s pretty good.

  2. I like the third cover. The one with the real model. She looks super BadA$$ but its not as unique or recognizable as the others. I also really like the one you have!

Hi, I thought the real girl did not resemble Celaena at all lol, but it’s a great cover.

      1. I haven’t read this book yet but it is on my TBR. 😂 So that makes sense! I hate when the covers don’t match the descriptions or feel of the characters!!

Nice pick! I like the third one and then the one with the blue background I think the most…
