Jackie's Forget Me Nots

No vase can overflow if you never fill it up.

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog

I want to thank Kim for being such a good host and I will also be linking up with It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? @BookDate
I’ve read 5 books towards the #TakeControlTBR so far, and I love it.

Tweet: Reading Challenges help me stay motivated and encourage me to read more and faster.

These are the books I’ve read so far… .links to my reviews on Goodreads.

Heart of the Wolf
Iron Gold
The Return
Cryer’s Cross
High Voltage

I am on day 7 of the Master Cleanse and everything is good and I feel much better. It’s a spring cleaning of sorts and Lentel Fast to boot. I don’t know if it is because I am getting older but it took me more than 3 days to get over my headaches and 4 days just to begin feeling better in my lower abdomen and intestines. Everything seems to take longer with the process is what I mean. I have lower bowel issues where I get bloated, constipated and sometimes have a lot of gas (I know TMI) so whenever I do the master cleanse, it helps a ton if I do the morning internal salt water bath which flushes me out entirely. If you want to know more about the Master Cleanse follow the link.

I’ve also been keeping up with my daily walk for more than 30 minutes. It’s nice to walk and listen to an audiobook. I am currently listening to Blood Fury (#4) by J.R. Ward of the Black Dagger Legacy series. I just finished High Voltage (#10) of the Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning and what a blast it was!

So as you can see I have been sticking to my goals and reading challenges and I feel pretty good about myself. My next book to read will either be The Bear and the Nightingale, The Miracle of Santo Fico or some other neglected book. In short, I don’t know yet :p

Yay for 5 books! That’s awesome. I don’t do a lot of challenges but I can totally see where they’d help with staying motivated. I should do more of them!

    Have a super week!

  4. I’ve yet to read any of the BDB Legacy series but they sound awesome!
    Have a good week.

Yes, I am loving the BDB Legacy so far. Fresh take, new characters, in training to join the Brotherhood. The Lessening society is still around with plenty of action .

  5. Great job with sticking to your goals. Reading challenges keep me motivated, too. I hope you have a great week!

Hi Kathryn, I like listening to Jim Frangione’s voice although it took me awhile to get used to. I’m glad you liked it as well 🙂

  7. I am hoping to read more of my older books this year…but I keep grabbing the new ones off the shelf! Sigh.

Enjoy your week, and good luck with that cleanse. Here are

I see nothing wrong with that. I feel one hundred percent better and sticking to my cleanse on day eight today!

  8. Kathy Martin says:

Congrats on taking care of your health. I really need to be more diligent about my walking. I keep looking at my TBR stack but choosing current review books instead. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

    1. Jackie says:

Hi Kathy, walking/exercise is as crucial as breathing isn’t it? I like to walk as soon as I can after waking up in the morning. I have been choosing newer books on my shelf as well. They just look more interesting that’s all. I hope you have a great week

  9. I loved High Voltage, too! Yeah that we both enjoyed it! And yeah that the cleanse is going good, I hope it keeps going that way! Thanks for stopping by! Happy reading!
