Jackie's Forget Me Nots

No vase can overflow if you never fill it up.

I went to see Black Panther in Imax 3D last Monday. It is such a fantastic experience. I didn’t know it was a Marvel comic hero but at least I was able to get a seat in the almost sold out crowded theatre. Grrr. I wanted to have more choices to sit but alas! F4 was a pretty good seat regardless of the crowd.

I knew next to nothing about this movie except that it was about black people and everyone is raving about it. Don’t buy into the hype guys. The actress who plays Michonne on The Walking Dead, Danai Gurira, is still a badass. I recognized Forest Whitaker, but either than that, the only white actors are Martin Freeman and Andy Serkis. Both star in The Hobbit btw.

A+ for originality and costume. There was a lot of action which made it exciting to watch. The technology in this show is formidable and edgy!
Erik Killmonger, N’Jadaka, the lost boy who the Black Panther King T’Chaka leaves behind after killing his father N’Jobu, (T’Chaka’s brother) never gets to see Wakanda. Anyway, T’Challa the Black Panther King, (T’Chakas son) is an excellent hearted king and wants to deal with his enemy fair and square. Except that Erik Killmonger only wants to kill the Black Panther and take his throne. He wants revenge for the murder of his father. But with great power comes great responsibility yadda.

Wakanda is an idyllic utopia, and the people are tribal warriors, yet they have the most advanced technology in the world. The heart-shaped herb they harvest gives them power and strength and can heal almost anything next to rising someone from the dead. 15 facts about Vibranium you never knew. It was said that a giant meteorite of vibranium crashed to earth hundreds of years ago causing the plant to mutate.

Meanwhile, somewhere in Oakland California

Someone is stealing weapons from a museum. I think he is the proper villain. Klaw aka Andy Serkis aka Smeagol aka Gollum. lol

Grrr, I hate when the cinema is crowded. I need to watch Black Panther too at some point. People really like it.
