Jackie's Forget Me Nots

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer.

What I’m currently reading.

I downloaded the audiobook of The Fireman by Joe Hill from the library but I can’t figure out how to get it onto iTunes or sync it with my iPod. I recently switched my Audible account to Canada so that could be the reason why my audible manager doesn’t work IRDK. It used to be so easy to sync audiobooks. I feel like things are outdating in a blink of an eye, cause if I want to keep listening to audiobooks I need to -spend all my money- on some newfangled smartphone or something. My kindle is giving me the same grief. Time for a new Kindle.

What I finished DNF’d last week.

Uprooted by Naomi Novik, because it was boring AF. Julia Emelin narrated. She has a strong German or Russian(?) accent. Needless to say, I am not a fan.

Books I would like to read.

The Red Rising Saga by Pierce Brown is a series I keep forgetting about.

My New Years Reading and Fitness Goals

  • I’ve set my 2018 reading goal on Goodreads to 60 books
  • I’ve taken a 2017 survey of My Year in Books @perpetualpageturner
  • I’ve checked out 4 books from the library. I intend to read them all before they are due back.

I decided in 2018 to make it my goal, to start running. It worked for me before and I lost weight. To be healthy and happy is what I want ultimately.

  • I got a sneak peak of my Ipsy Glam Bag for January.

QUESTION OF THE WEEK BY Itstartsatmidnight
What are your thoughts on sequels?

I like sequels when I don’t have to wait for it. The anticipation is real and I don’t want it to end.  It is so satisfying to know the next book in your favourite read is available you know? That is how I feel. For example with Vampire Academy. I am so glad I read the series AFTER all the books had been published! I loved all the books! It’s the same way with TV shows. I hate waiting for the sequel. I get bored and by the time the next one comes around, I’m over it and I don’t care anymore. I hate waiting! Sometimes the book/show isn’t worth the wait and I’ve been very disappointed so I don’t care if I don’t get the latest release anymore because I prefer to have ALL of ’em 🙂

I hope you get all your bookish devices in order soon 🙂 I can’t stand waiting for sequels either! 🙂
