Jackie's Forget Me Nots

No vase can overflow if you never fill it up.

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer.

Hi everyone! How’s your week been? I’ve been setting some goals and making resolutions. TO WRITE MORE BLOG POSTS! To help me achieve that momentum and unscramble my brain I will be utilizing 750words.com. I’ve also been working on a way to succeed in my weight loss journey. I feel the only thing that is going to help me do that is EXERCISE. Yes, I think I got the diet down pat, but it’s time I do the dreaded task whether I like it or not. Walking and stretching a little every day and working my way up to running. I plan on using my new ear gadget ←‘affiliate link’ which was meant for listening to audiobooks while I’m walking or running. Oh ya, they may seem like small goals, but to me, they’re like mountains.

WHAT I GOT FOR CHRISTMAS. My favourite gift I got for Christmas is a microwave. My old one was scaring the hell out of me. The coils were fried or something because sparks would fly and light up the interior whenever I turned it on. It was terrifying.

A SHORT RE-CAP. It has been a year since my boyfriend of 10 years died, and that I have spent alone. At the beginning of the year, I was in the most prolonged reading slump I’ve ever had the displeasure of knowing. I couldn’t enjoy anything I read as much as I wanted to. For real. So at that time, I watched many TV series’ on Netflix. The Vampire Diaries, The Walking Dead, 100, Breaking Bad were some of the best. Oh, those were good times. I think by the time summer rolled around I started picking up books again. It was the lovely Kresley Cole that got me out of my slump with Shadow’s Seduction and Wicked Abyss. Thank God! We also read my favourite book of the year, Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare in June. By then I sort of became more entertained by Netflix and youtube videos. I watched a ton of videos because I am obsessed with them. My favourite channels I can’t stop watching are Zoella and Alfie’s channel and Casey Holmes. Every now and again I come across someone new and exciting to watch, and the most recent ones are Amanda Ensing, Tanya Burr and Daisy O’Donnell. They are all beauty and lifestyle Vloggers, and I appreciate them all so much.

Season 7 of Game of Thrones premiered on July 16th. What a bloody rip off having only 7 episodes!? I really hope George R.R.Martin can finish the next novel in his world of Ice and Fire soon. It’s a real piss off and must be a significant burden to bear for the producers of Game of Thrones.

IN OTHER NEWS, Calgary opened an indoor pedestrian bridge to the Chinook shopping mall for people to cross the heavily trafficked McLeod Trail and it is fantastic! It’s much easier to access the shopping centre now because the bridge overpass takes you straight away into the Food Court and it is a short distance from the C-train station soya. That’s awesome.

I didn’t mean for this post to be about current events but JUST WISHING YOU A SAFE AND PROSPEROUS HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Have a glass of champagne with me for the sake of auld lang syne.

Please feel free to leave a comment. Love You! Always 🙂

I have been looking for some comfortable earphones. I’d like to wear them when I travel next spring. I’ll look into the ones you shared.

    Happy New Year!

Hi, I’m sorry I didn’t see your comment sooner. It was in my spam folder of all the darn things! WordPress did that. I hope your trip to Italy is as great as it sounds! Fabulous. Say hi to the Pope for me lol j/k. You could try getting a coloured headband. I’m sure it will be more comfortable listening to audiobooks on the plane. Give it try. Thanks for coming to visit and sorry again for not replying sooner.

  3. Happy New Year! I also love Netflix…and between it and books, all is fine. Except…I need more exercise, too! Maybe I’ll have to get audiobooks so I can walk and listen.

Thanks for sharing…and for visiting my blog.
