Jackie's Forget Me Nots

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly @ Caffeinated Reviewer.

Hi Guys! It’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything and I realize this year is quickly coming to an end. So, as we are getting closer to Christmas, I have a not-so-secret-anymore TBTBSanta I would like to share this week on my blog.

Today I received my Broke and Bookish Secret Santa package, and I am so happy it came before Christmas right on time.

Deciding when to send the gifts you buy is a personal decision, so for me, it had to be tout de suite immediately. I could not wait to send it.

⇔I sent my TBTBSanta her package at the end of November so that it would arrive December 1st, 2017 but it was only going to Ottawa, so I don’t know what I was thinking.
Anyhow, I know Kathy Coe received and enjoyed everything because she tweeted about it 🙂

But more importantly, I enjoyed being a Secret Santa! My TBTBSanta is the only person I have to shop for, hence why they are spoilt.

I have to say this year was a lot better than the previous experiences. It felt like, Cindy Smith, from www.cindysloveofbooks.com took my list to heart and I appreciate that because it makes me feel more connected than when someone buys things willy-nilly. Things that aren’t on your sign up list you know? It’s like no thought of me existed or applied and I think the closer you buy the things on ‘your chosen names’ wishlist the better the experience. At least it is for me anyway.  It’s an important caveat and something to remember when you buy for someone else. That YOU GET WHAT THEY ASK FOR or at least try. What it means for you is having to be more specific and more accurate in describing what you really want when you sign up for TBTBSanta.  I really hope Jamie and the girls from The Broke and The Bookish keep hosting this event. I know 8 years is a long time but can we make it at least 10? Anyway, it seems to be getting better, and people can see it is legit.

Here is everything that was sent to me by Cindy Smith. SO, THANK YOU, CINDY!

I made my list on Amazon of the books I would like, mentioning that I love the paranormal fantasy/romance genre and I wrote down the things I wanted like, i.e. makeup with a few suggestions. I had really wanted a Stila lip topper and The Bear and The Nightingale novel, (maybe if I’m nice, the Elf might still bring me these) but regardless, I love and adore everything I got. Wishing everyone a safe and Joyeux holiday,

From your friend and community blogger

  1. Oh, what fun. I do a Secret Santa with the Coyer group and had to open mine when it arrived, LOL I have been good since then and everything else is being saved for Christmas morning. I am loving your package!

Awww thanks. I know I can’t NOT open my presents. They need to be hidden out of sight because Santa only comes once 🙂 Not every day, unfortunately, although I wouldn’t mind if he did. Presents every day all month long? heck yeah! Lol

  2. So happy that you liked everything Jackie. Whenever I shop for my chosen person I always go by what they ask for because it makes the person feel more special and that they were heard in what they wanted. I wish I was able to get out and really shop but with limited mobility since spraining my ankle and being in a boot I was limited to when I was able to get out and shop.

Still. It was a great pleasure to get your santa package and I’m sorry about your ankle. Take it easy and I hope you are doing better.
