Jackie's Forget Me Nots

No vase can overflow if you never fill it up.

There is a lot to be said about being careful. Careful as fuck. Fucking careful. “Be careful?” her mother said. Famous last words. What teenager are these days alert? Or should I reiterate – “Be careful not to be promiscuous.” Promiscuity. It is a teenage thing. I was very promiscuous. Rebellious, and promiscuous.
Synonyms: licentious, sexually indiscriminate, wanton, immoral, fast; Informal: smooth, swinging, sluttish, whorish, bed-hopping; Dated: loose, fallen “a promiscuous teenager.”

I had many transient sexual relationships.”You be very careful,” her mother told her. “If you aren’t careful, some men will rape you and molest you. You will be hurt if you are not careful.” Promiscuity goes around and comes around. What goes around comes around. You do not want to be the unlucky one who ends up raped and drugged or worse. The world is a terrible place when you are not careful. I suggest you don’t stay out too long after dark either. Just to be cautious and on the safe side. Spending time with family is the best thing. If you even have parents. They are the only ones who care and want you safe. Teenagers need to understand the risks their rebellious and promiscuous attitudes can bring. In hindsight, I should have listened to my parents, and not want to be a grown-up all of a sudden. There are only seven years to be a teenager, and it goes by so fast. Enjoy your time as a teenager. Don’t let anyone take it away from you. You shouldn’t make grown-up decisions when you aren’t old enough to face the consequences. E.g., pregnancy, drunk driving, jail sentence. It’s all too scary when you aren’t careful. Take pride in your youth. Be brave. Learn to make the right choices while still living at home. Obey the rules. It can be hard but don’t worry; it will pass. You will be victorious and still a virgin. How unusual and delightful.

Great reminders. 🙂 I think media has played a major role on why promiscuity became a teenage thing when it actually isn’t. Studies, family relationships, etc should be the major problem, but in tv and in movies they show that it’s love. Haha Media and Parents really play an important role in our teenagers. 🙂
