Jackie's Forget Me Nots

No vase can overflow if you never fill it up.

Today's one word prompt is : Sandwich

VERB:
Insert or squeeze (someone or something) between two other people or things, typically in a restricted space or so as to be uncomfortable:
the girl was sandwiched between two burly men in the back of the car

When you feel like a sandwich what do you do? I love bologna sandwiches because they are quick and easy to make. I usually like mayo and lettuce with my bologna. Sometimes I put a slice of cheese. If I have a lot of time and I know I have the ingredients then I make myself an egg salad sandwich or chicken salad or even a good tuna sandwich. These are my preferences but I have found avocado on toast to be simple and easy to make . Peanut butter and jam are not my favorite so I don’t make them often because you know bread. Bread is a carb and if I’m going to eat carbs I want more substance in between . I often make grilled cheese or even bacon and tomato sandwiches. I love bacon . I also love tomato soup with grilled cheese sandwiches. It’s a hearty meal imo.

Another way you can feel like a sandwich is if you are stuck between cars in a parking lot and you can’t get out . When I’m sandwiched in I can’t move at all. When I can’t move I feel suffocated . Think about how it would feel suffocating between rubble and stone.
What if you were sandwiched in between two people naked? Have you ever had a threesome or maybe foursome? I have . I remember being underneath and feeling like a sandwich. Anyway I only did that once when I was a lot younger in my teens. I don’t recommend three-somes .
I’m talking about when you feel squished .
Sometimes being in an elevator or maybe in a secret hiding place where you’re hiding you feel squished . Being in an elevator full of people where there isn’t even enough room to breathe you are sandwiched in . If you suffer from claustrophobia I would imagine you’d feel like you were going to pass out or maybe die . If you were suffocating under rubble and debris you would die crushed and broken. I think in the least you would feel sandwiched if you were lucky to survive and get rescued.

Have you ever used a sandwich maker? I own one but it’s very small and my sandwich doesn’t fit . I prefer making grilled cheese in a frying pan but whatever works best .

Old cars ready for the junkyard sure look funny crushed on top of one another, a perfect snack for the Iron Giant. They do make a perfect steel sandwich don’t they? If you ever get a chance to watch the kid friendly Iron Giant movie I highly recommend it.

Another type of steel sandwich is called a harmonica. I don’t like the way they taste much.

One sandwich that I particularly don’t like is a knuckle sandwich. O no don’t give me that.

Subway sandwiches are pretty good, at least according to Jared . He’s in prison now though but did you ever wonder how Subway got their name? I remember Mr. Submarine being the best tasting submarine on the market way back. Whatever happened to them? To be honest I like Vietnamese subs. . Have you ever had one? I found a place in Chinatown that makes the best sub sandwich. He puts cilantro and shredded carrots with a special marinade on the chicken. Mmm good.
