Jackie's Forget Me Nots

No vase can overflow if you never fill it up.

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Million-Dollar Question.”

Why do you blog?

Initially it was a way for me to write about the books I read. I quickly found out about the many book blogs out there and no I don’t have a favorite. I started a book blog and called it Jackie’s Bookbytes after unsuccessfully blogging for a few years without purpose. I took part in Alphabe Thursday hosted by Jenny Matlock and that was harder then I thought.

I blog because I like using html [hypertext markup language]. I taught myself how to make links and images but I have to say I still haven’t learnt how to write a good blog post and/or book review. I’m not too concerned about it though and I don’t consider my blog to be professional by any standard. Not at all.

I blog just for the fun of it and I like changing the look and feel of my blog every so often. I still haven’t found the right theme for me. They all have their quirks that I don’t like and I choose not to pay the hefty price for a premium theme either. I figure since my blog is just for fun it would be such a waste of money.

I also blog because I like to type. I took typing in school but never did anything with it so blogging is really the only platform I can practice my typing skills. My boyfriend says I type really fast and he’s amazed so yes I type fast.

I still write book reviews but not as often and I use the Daily Prompt on wordpress. I have two blogs, one on blogger and one on wordpress. I also have a twitter account and numerous other social sites. I guess being on the internet as much as I am it’s crucial for me to interact with others either by blogging or tweeting, otherwise it would be boring I think.

I blog because there is nothing else to do.

  1. Yes! Sometimes I blog because I don’t want to clean house. 🙂

Don't Eat That

The food pyramid is a lie, meat fat is good for you, and many (if not most) health problems are treatable with diet alone. I'm in remission from severe arthritis (multiple joints replaced), chronic fatigue, depression and a plethora of other symptoms from changing how I eat. This blog chronicles how my family and my parents eat and what it's done for us.
