Jackie's Forget Me Nots

No vase can overflow if you never fill it up.

Thursdays Thought is a weekly feature where I choose something commonly annoying that others can relate with and write about it.

I feel like resorting to drastic measures like ripping out my carpet because my vacuum cleaner can’t do its job.

Eureka ReadyForce Total Bagless Canister Vacuum, 3500AE from Wal=Mart.

Don’t you just hate it when you buy a relatively inexpensive vacuum cleaner but when hair gets caught up in the power nozzle roller it stops working, and a red light comes on followed by the smell of burnt rubber? Wtf man!? I just bought it two days ago and already it’s defective and doesn’t even suck dirt?! or should I say your vacuum sucks the bag~!
I purchased this light space that is a useless piece of garbage. Don’t buy it~~!
You can’t even take the damn roller brush off to clean it. Instead, I have to take scissors to cut all the hair out myself. It is a messy job, and I am fed up with these damn vacuums that don’t work like I want them to.

I love vacuuming, but the kind of gap I need has to be reliable enough to suck up almost anything and that includes human/pet hair AND more importantly leaves designs on the carpet fabric. It’s also satisfying when footprints disappear :p ~that’s what I’m talking about~, but my vacuum does not do that at all. It’s a defective inoperative machine. Where can I find one that doesn’t cost an enormous amount of money? IMO even if it only costs $200 it should last 20 years at least.

  1. I feel for you, I mean who expects to have to clean the cleaning equipment?? Not to sound smug but I gave up carpet, now I just have floorboards with a rug. I sweep the rug with a rubber broom, much easier than vacuuming!

I know right? I would much rather have wood floors where I know a duster and mop would work fine. Carpets are stinky too

      1. Oh check what you have underneath first though. I was so lucky, imagine my surprise when I pulled up my carpets (no easy task I might add) to find that the floorboards already had a finish on them and all I needed to do was whack a mop over them…
