Jackie's Forget Me Nots

No vase can overflow if you never fill it up.

It’s my birthday today! October 4th! It’s also Sunday the same day of the week I was born on!

I meant to make a cake for my birthday ever since I’d found this. .it looks delicious to me. The image is linked to the recipe on Pinterest if you think you want to make it too. Just when you eat your cake, enjoy one on me *) You’re welcome ♥

To celebrate All Hallows Read this year and the month of October I am giving a scary book to one lucky winner in my All Hallows Read Giveaway. I will choose a winner with a random picker on October 31st, 2015. You only have to enter your name in the linky that I have posted on my blog AND respectively answer a question in a comment on any post I publish in October because I need Flangiprop– more visitors 🙂

Also for the month of October, I chose a scary book of my own to read. Goodreads is starting a read-a-long of it on Oct 9th.  Library of Souls by Ransom Riggs is what I’m currently reading a scary book. I am on chapter 3, and so far it is horrible, I mean that in a right way. It is frightening, and I feel so afraid for Jacob, Emma, and the others.

I also finished Mother May I by Genevieve Jack and purchased a spinoff first in a series called Logan. These are both Kindle books.

I read a short Christmas novella Dec The Halls by Jasinda Wilder and published eight posts, not including this post or my Review and Giveaway AND 4 blog posts on Jackie’s Bookbytes this week. I would say it has been more than a mildly productive blogging week!

My new blog feature on Thursday is still going happily along, but I think I can run out of ideas to write about “Don’t you just hate it when …”

I hope you all had a great week and I wish everyone the best in the coming month and since I’m on the campaign trail PLEASE sign up for my GIVEAWAY!!!? I want to be able to give a scary book to a lucky pumpkin, and I hope I get many entrants who want to read a scary book for Halloween too. Must I beg so? Lol

  1. I don’t enjoy horror as much as I used to… If it’s really well done, I get too scared, and then I have trouble sleeping 😀 I’m glad you’re enjoying yours though, Jackie.
Happy Birthday!!! I hope you’ll have a beautiful, fantastic and exciting day today 🙂
And of course, I wish you a wonderful week ahead with great books to read.

Yes I enjoy the not so scary books with less violence blood and gore. It can be depressing. Thanks Lexxie.

I am GF and never heard of peanut flour. I am going to have to look that up. I preferred having celiac before they made GF versions of everything. As it was an awesome way to avoid calories!

It’s hard to find but I guess if you’re like me you can substitute it with almond flour or rice flour or even cashew flour by just grinding them into a powder I suppose lol. You gotta be careful not to make butter somehow . I know with almond flour , you can grind the pulp probably idk. Anyway I couldn’t find peanut flour in the grocery store or community health foods.. I hope you can .

  5. I prefer to read horror. Happy Birthday and oh my that cake does look yummy!!
