Jackie's Forget Me Nots

No vase can overflow if you never fill it up.

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Worlds Colliding.”

Take two main characters from two different books (either fiction or nonfiction) and introduce them to, or have them meet, each other. What would happen next?

When Carrie met Hermione

Carrie spies Hermione in the library going over her stack of books on arithmancy. Carrie was in the library doing some research about telekinesis given her strange powers to move objects.
“Hi. My name’s Carrie”
“I know who you are. All the other girls are making fun of you and I think they’re stupid. If you need anyone to talk to, I’m usually in the library and Carrie? I’m not afraid of them. If you want I may be able to help you.”
She knew if there was anyone who could help it would be Hermione. She once broke a boys nose for calling her a filthy mudblood. Perhaps all the other girls in school would stop making fun of her too because Hermione is the sort of friend who is loyal and would stick up for you. She’s badass. Dishing out Karma to those bitches would be a pleasure.

Carrie and Hermione hit it off like magic and soon became best friends. By prom night there wasn’t a guy who’d not asked them to the prom. The ugly girls were so jealous. However, they didn’t need anyone else because they preferred each other. Rumor had it they were lesbian.
