Jackie's 4get Me Nots

No vase can overflow if you never fill it up.

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Breaking the Law.”

Think about the last time you broke a rule (a big one, not just ripping the tags off your pillows). Were you burned, or did things turn out for the best?

Someone got burnt. That was me. Being on aish I’m incapable of working in the public field and because of  that, I am able to get discounts from the government i.e: medical, dental etc.. Also, Calgary Transit issues bus passes for low income people. The last time I lent it out to my boyfriend to get to work. We thought it was alright because we were on the same file. It so happened the c-train officers were out and when asked to produce his bus pass she noticed my name on it and he was breaking the law apparently and she didn’t care to check into it. He got a $300 fine and she took it away.

I lost my “privilege” for 8 months which meant I had to go without.  It was only after I went and talked to the Transit customer service where I was reinstated to a monthly bus pass . They told me if I did that again I would lose it for good. Everything worked out fine in the end though. I learnt to never do that again and he buys his own bus pass 🙂
