Jackie's Forget Me Nots

No vase can overflow if you never fill it up.

Tuesday I had a fairly busy day, and I missed writing my 750 words. Oh well.

When I woke up Tuesday morning at a quarter after seven, I was disappointed that I missed my boyfriend before he went to work. He left the house about a quarter after six as usual, but I was heavily asleep and missed his kiss goodbye. He always kisses me before heading to work. I got up and played around on the computer until I finally got my ass in gear. I had to go out to take care of a few things downtown. Got it all done and I’m happy about that. My taxes are done anyway. Ok, this is annoying I know.

8709523I’m reading a book about alchemists and vampires. The Golden Lily is the sequel to Bloodlines by Richelle Mead. A spin-off of Vampire Academy. I don’t like it at all as it’s a type of writing that seems to drag on and on and sounds more like blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah ad infinitum. I can’t remember when the last exciting thing happens ..oh wait for IT HASN’T YET! I’m on page 143, and the chapters are a drag. One drag after another and one section at a time is about all I can take at the moment, honestly. I don’t know why I keep going but maybe by the end it might begin to pick up with the damn story, you think? I must say Sidney is a drag. But of course, nothing changes from the first book. Unfortunately, it’s just as bad. Jill is just as annoying. I always hated Adrian, so I have to wonder why am I even reading this book?

It’s part of my reading challenge for 2012. To read 150 books this year. I’ve only read 81 so far. I am behind as I didn’t read anything in the month of August so…. “Vampire Academy” however was and still is my favorite vampire series. It was my first book series I’ve ever read and so much fun. I recommend it, but I have learned that everyone’s different so you might not like it as much as I did.

I recently read seven books of the “Black Dagger Brotherhood, “ and I enjoyed them a lot. I took a break from them after Lover Avenged, but I think I am about ready to start the next one in the series. Unless I find some answers to the Golden Lily. I must trudge forward and finish this darn book. Sidney had never kissed anyone until she met Brayden. Her friend Trey introduced them, and she likes Brayden cause he’s smart, smells like coffee and drives a nice car. We don’t know much about him yet, though. I hope he turns out to be a vampire hahaha Lol that would freak Sidney out, wouldn’t it? It absolutely would, and she deserves it. Jill is going out with Micah, and Angeline likes Eddie. They are all going to go to the Halloween dance at their school. Well, that should be exciting?

Some YA books I’ve read,  like Cinder and the Mortal Instruments and Divergent, are good but how the hell do I know which ones I like or not? It would be best if I went to another section of the bookstore. Almost all the kids with book blogs are young, so they are into that sort of genre. I bought this book called Undead, which was in the Young Adult section, because I heard rave reviews about it but honestly? I am surprised and perplexed. A nine-year-old could write better.

So…… I don’t know how I’m going to finish The Golden Lily let alone write a review. If I have to review it, I’m going to have to get more details of which I can’t remember the half of it ho-hum. So far in importance, Sonya and Dimitri are trying to get some answers to the whys of Strigoi reverting to Moroi. That usually doesn’t happen, but it happened to both of them once. Sidney’s blood is despicable according to some Strigoi who had taken some of her blood. They had to spit it out. Do I guess it has to do with her tattoo? The Golden Lily but I haven’t read enough yet. That’s another thing about this book. If I can come to this conclusion why can’t they? Lol, I’m thinking that’s how dumb they are. Hello!? It’s on the cover dumbass!

Last year. I challenged myself to finish reading a 100 books and I managed to complete it. 😀 I had a lot of fun doing it.
